Booking in at Marshalls means winning the keys to your very own Paddington pad… and much more besides. You get the run of the place, your own front door and large sitting-room, complete with flat-screen telly, gas fire, loads of CDs (Australian jazz a Marshall obsession) and books, video-player, music system, deep, jump-on-me sofas and armchairs.....

.... And upstairs a beautiful, fresh-feeling double bedroom, a shower-room and another single bedroom that doubles as a dressing room. Double doors open from the bedroom to the balcony for evening snifters before you climb the street to eat at Fiveways. If you’ve got the oomph, the restaurant strips of Darlinghurst and Oxford Street are very close too. Donna and David, meanwhile, look after you far better than you deserve! They enjoy a chat if you’re up for it and, if the opportunity arises during your stay, sailing can be organised on their yacht, the Free Spirit; or David will show you round the eastern suburb coast and point you towards the ferry to return to Circular Quay. A hearty breakfast includes freshly-squeezed orange juice, seasonal fruits, yoghurt, fresh bread and plunger coffee. But there are no end of little extras such as biscuits, flowers, bathrobes, electric blankets…. All this for the price is amazing.
