Wains’ world is a revelation. Trish is greatly humorous with the happy knack of putting you instantly at ease.....

.... The main living area of the house is open-plan with stone-tiled floor, wood furniture, family photos on the walls and jolly colours. Add to this sunny scene some jazz, the waft of real coffee and some lovely, unanticipated views. Trish finally got her cup of coffee in the bright breakfast area, which leads out onto wooden decks with views down to Chinaman’s Creek and the boats and jetties. The creek runs into Bancroft Bay, a large lake, and on the other side is a narrow strip of land that separates off the sea and Ninety Mile Beach. There's a boardwalk between the creek and the village which is lit up at night and great for taking a post-dinner stroll. The two bedrooms are downstairs and open onto a lawn. They have their own access, fridge and telly, tea and coffee, bathrobes, heater, reverse-cycle air con and lots of towels. This is the sort of B&B where the warmth of place and person combine to lift the spirits. Charter boats on the lakes; free-range kangaroos and Koalas on Raymond Island.[i/]
